We are a group of housing enthusiasts with a passion for diversifying Calgary’s housing stock with more co-operative style housing.

Co-operative or :”Co-op housing” is a style of housing where the deed of the land and the property is owned by a collective non-profit entity. Residents may buy shares to be a part of the co-operative. They are gauranteeed the unit they live in until they decide to move. Monthly rent is not paid, rather operating costs to cover things such as mortgage, utilities, reserve fund, landscaping etc.

Cooperative housing is a great way to ensure sustainable and affordable housing for famiilies for the long term.

We host events and workshops aimed at building Calgarian’s understanding of Co-operative housing.
